Mission

The mission of the AATRN is to provide free EMDR therapy services to victims and witnesses of violence in our community, who do not have insurance or who cannot easily access mental health services.

Our goal is to prevent PTSD by providing services within 3 months of the incident.

FAQ

What is EMDR?

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing(EMDR) is an extensively researched therapy approach that provides efficient and rapid treatment of trauma. Research has shown early EMDR intervention can prevent needless suffering from symptoms of PTSD and other post-disaster problems.

What if the traumatic incident happened more than 3 months ago?

You can still use EMDR to address the trauma! We would be happy to refer you to an EMDR therapist near you.

What if I don't have insurance?

We are here for you! If you don't have access to insurance you are eligible to receive the services.
